The purpose of this song is to highlight the joy of the Lord which is the essence of our Joy as Christian. The Bible states it this way, "The Joy of the Lord is our strength." Often times, Christian fails to enjoy their Christian life because our source of joy is based on materialistic possessions or carnal things. One of the prominent gospel songwriter Kirk Franklin, wrote a song called "Joy" to highlight the importance of joy in our lives. We are to embrace life like never before regardless of the obstacles we have to face to get to our destiny.
